Varna Library The new library does not refer to the municipality building. But it is connected to it by the sunken courtyard and a bridge. The volume is following the direction of the boulevard and is in the same time orientated straight towards it. The library has a strong identity and is therefore recognizable as a public building. It is going to be built of an ochre-coloured in-situ concrete. The storage facility is housed in a nucleus accessible from every department. The book collection areas are placed where the two slabs overlap. Where the slaps don't overlap, you find voluminous reading spaces. All areas are connected by one continuous space. The library offers a diverse social environment and multiple views. Internally as well as towards and from the city.
